The techniques we use set L’OBJET apart from all others. They are entirely our own. Take, for example, the Byzanteum Collection. To achieve such extraordinary texture, we create a plaster mould so intricate and refined it can yield a maximum of only 15 pieces, compared to the Fine porcelain standard—reliant on a less articulated mould—of 150. Similarly, the masterful hand-application techniques and complex layering of different golds that allow us to achieve such brilliance are unheard of in the industry.

Our Barware is made of polished stainless steel and hand-painted by artisans with our trademark blend of crushed mother of pearl-infused enamel. This time honored process forms a durable, high-gloss finish that will remain beautiful for years to come. Hand-wash with warm water and a mild soap. Dry, thoroughly, immediately after washing, to avoid water spots. Hand-wash only. Each piece is food safe.

Golden Finish

Each of the gold-finished pieces are hand made using the ancient art of sand-casting and may have subtle marks or surface inclusions that make each one an unique work of art. The beautiful burnished Gold look has been crafted with slight tonal variations of color to give each piece a rich timeless luster. Frequent use will increase the natural patina adding to the depth of the finish and character of the product. Simply hand wash with soft cloth, mild soap and water. Dry after use to prevent water spotting. Take care not to store food or leave standing water in pieces to caution against staining. Avoid contact with acidic agents.

This striking elephant is a replica of an antique figurine depicting an elephant carrying goods along the silk road. The silk road was an interconnected series of ancient trading routes stretching from China to the Mediterranean Sea. The silk road not only served as a means of moving precious commodities back and forth but was also significant for bringing new cultural influences. This Pink Elephant figurine certainly demonstrates this Eastern influence through its highly ornate decorative style including the dramatic rug on its back. The figurine was reissued from the Herend archives to commemorate the Manufactory’s 180th anniversary.

Herend Seated Dog Collection Fishnet

Endearing animals meek and bold, large and small, demure and majestic eagerly await the chance to melt your heart and warm your home. Each is brought to life by the skilled hands of artisans crafting and painting these charming porcelain creatures. The famous fishnet décor adorning many of the animals took form in 1858 when a Herend painter became inspired by a fishscale design he saw on a Chinese porcelain plate and painted a similar pattern onto a rooster figurine to imitate feathers.
